Takhatgarh Map Poster & Print
Takhatgarh is a town in Pali district, in southern Rajasthan. The land around it is semi-arid, with open plains broken by the granite hills of the Aravalli foothills. The wider area is known for the Jawai reservoir and the rocky country around it, where leopards live alongside farming villages. On a map, Takhatgarh itself is a compact settlement with tight, winding lanes.
The old town is a close network of narrow streets, typical of market towns in Marwar. It opens out onto broader roads at its edges. Seasonal streams and field boundaries mark the land beyond, and the approach roads cut long lines across it. In black and white, the dense centre and the sparse country around it make a strong contrast.
A Takhatgarh map poster is a personal object for families from the town. Many of them belong to trading communities who have moved to cities across India and beyond, while keeping close ties to home. The map keeps the old lanes, and a sense of the surrounding landscape, in a single calm frame.

Approach roads
Several roads leave the town across the plain, drawing long lines that connect it to the district's other towns and villages.
Open dry country
Around the town, sparse fields, seasonal watercourses and rocky ground leave plenty of pale space, which makes the dense centre stand out.

Pourquoi Takhatgarh
Une carte qui a du sens
For families who left Takhatgarh for business or work elsewhere, a map of the old lanes is a daily reminder of where the story began. It is understated enough for an office and personal enough for a home.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand echoes the colours of the Marwar countryside.
