Plateau setting
The town sits on the Serra da Ibiapaba, and on the map this shows as the point where compact streets end and roads start bending as they climb or descend the escarpment.

La carte
Tianguá Map Poster & Print
Tianguá lies in the northwest of Ceará, up on the Serra da Ibiapaba, a long plateau that rises sharply from the dry interior. The height gives the town a milder climate than most of the state, and the land around it is used for farming. On a map, the town looks compact, with streets gathered around its centre and roads heading out across the uplands.
The main road across the region climbs the escarpment and passes through Tianguá, so the town works as a gateway between the coastal lowlands and the plateau. Where the map shows the escarpment, the streets stop and the roads twist to handle the slope. Up on top, the layout loosens into longer, straighter lines between farms and small settlements.
A Tianguá map poster shows a town defined by its high ground. The street pattern is dense in the middle and thins out steadily toward the edges. In a pale style such as Paper or Sand, the curving roads that climb and leave the plateau give the sheet a sense of height, even though the map itself is flat.

Highway through town
A regional highway crosses Tianguá and ties it to the rest of Ceará. It forms the main axis that the rest of the street network is arranged around.
Compact centre
A tight cluster of blocks marks the old centre. Around it, newer neighbourhoods spread out in looser, less regular patterns.

Pourquoi Tianguá
Une carte qui a du sens
Tianguá means something particular to people from the serra, and to those who left for Fortaleza or further away and remember the cool air at the top of the climb. A framed map keeps that high town nearby.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. A free watermarked preview lets you check the composition first, and the full print files cost $9.
