Central avenues
A handful of main avenues cross the town and organise the streets into clear blocks. This gives the centre a strong, legible structure.

Zarand Map Poster & Print
Zarand sits on a wide, dry plain in Kerman province in south-eastern Iran, north-west of the city of Kerman. From above, the town has a compact, fairly regular layout. Main avenues cross the centre, and residential blocks fill the spaces between them. The countryside around it is mostly open desert and scattered farmland, with mountains rising in the distance.
The area is known for coal. Mines in the surrounding hills have long supplied Iran's steel industry, and industrial sites on the edge of town reflect that role. On a map this shows up as larger plots and service roads beyond the residential core, which gives the outskirts a different texture from the tight blocks at the centre.
A Zarand map poster balances these two sides of the town. The central streets create a steady grid-like pattern, while the roads heading out towards the mines and Kerman draw long lines into empty land. With little water and few natural curves to soften it, the image is spare and architectural. It works well in the Blueprint and Noir styles.

Industrial outskirts
Mining and industry have left larger plots and service roads at the town's edges. Their pattern is coarser than the residential districts.
Open desert plain
The town sits on broad, dry ground with few features nearby. Its outline stands out sharply against the empty space around it.
