Downtown grid
The historic centre is laid out in regular blocks, a tight, orderly pattern that contrasts with the looser streets of newer suburbs around it.

La mappa
Hopkinsville Map Poster & Print
Hopkinsville is the seat of Christian County in western Kentucky, set in the rolling farm country of the Pennyrile region. On a map, the downtown forms a compact, regular grid beside the winding Little River, while main roads radiate outward to the north, south and west. A bypass curves around the town, and neighbourhoods and commercial strips spread along the routes leaving the centre.
The town has some unusual claims to fame. In 1955 a family near the community of Kelly reported an encounter with strange creatures, an episode still marked by the annual Little Green Men Days festival. In 2017 Hopkinsville was close to the point of greatest eclipse of the total solar eclipse, and the psychic Edgar Cayce was born nearby. Fort Campbell lies to the south.
A Hopkinsville map poster brings out the classic structure of a southern county seat: the courthouse grid, the river cutting its own path, and highways reaching toward the farmland and the military post beyond. It makes a meaningful piece for families who have lived here for generations and for soldiers and their families stationed at Fort Campbell.

Little River
The river meanders through town in irregular curves, a natural line that breaks the grid and adds movement to the composition.
Bypass loop
A curving bypass wraps around much of the town, defining its outer edge and connecting the radial highways in a broad arc.
