Airport edge
The runways of Tunis-Carthage International Airport lie just south-west of the town. Their long, straight forms give the poster a strong geometric anchor next to the looser suburban streets.

La mappa
Sukrah Map Poster & Print
Sukrah, better known as La Soukra, lies on the northern side of Greater Tunis in the Ariana Governorate. It was long an area of olive groves, orchards and country houses, and much of its map still carries that rural outline: long roads following old field boundaries, with residential estates filling in the land between them rather than a single planned grid.
Its south-western edge meets Tunis-Carthage International Airport, whose runways form the strongest straight lines in the frame. To the north, the land flattens towards the Sebkhet Ariana, a shallow salt lagoon near the coast, so the town sits between a very urban edge and an open, low-lying one.
Today Sukrah is a sought-after residential district, with detached houses, schools and shopping streets alongside remaining patches of green. A Sukrah map poster shows how a former landscape of gardens turned into a suburb over recent decades, while keeping the road pattern and the nearby lagoon in a calm, readable composition.

Old field roads
Many roads follow the lines of former orchards and plots, which is why the street pattern bends and branches irregularly instead of forming a regular grid.
Sebkhet Ariana
The shallow salt lagoon to the north appears as a broad, open shape near the coast, marking where the built-up area gives way to flat wetland.

Perché Sukrah
Una mappa che ha un significato
Sukrah is where many families in Tunis chose to build a house, and a map of it records that decision more personally than a view of the capital as a whole. It works well for a new home, for someone who grew up here, or for anyone who flies through the airport often.
Write your own title and subtitle, add the year you moved in, and keep the coordinates line or edit it. The design comes in Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as a $9 HD download or a printed poster with an optional frame.
