Roadside settlement
Houses and shops line the main roads in long, continuous strips. This pattern makes the road network the dominant shape on the map.

Adiwerna Map Poster & Print
Adiwerna is a district in Tegal Regency, Central Java, just south of Tegal city on the island's northern coastal plain. The land is flat and intensively farmed, and the map shows it clearly. Villages and neighbourhoods follow the main roads in long, dense strips, and the spaces between are filled with rice fields crossed by irrigation channels and small rivers.
With more than a hundred thousand residents, Adiwerna is as dense as a town but keeps close ties to farming. Much of daily life is tied to Tegal's markets and to the roads linking the coast with the uplands to the south. In this region, town and village often run into one another without a clear boundary.
An Adiwerna map poster captures a distinctive Javanese settlement pattern, with lines of roads and houses weaving through open farmland. In black and white, the contrast between dense street clusters and the empty spaces of the fields becomes graphic and calm. It is a fitting image for someone from the area.

Rice fields
Wide expanses of paddy fields lie between the settlements. They appear as open spaces divided by thin channels and farm tracks, which give the map its texture.
Link to Tegal
Roads lead north into Tegal city and toward the Java Sea coast. The map shows Adiwerna as part of a larger built-up corridor across the plain.
