Weru is in Cirebon Regency on the northern coastal plain of West Java, a short distance west of Cirebon city. The land here is flat and closely settled. On a map the town appears as a network of village roads and narrow lanes, with houses clustered along them and rice fields and plantations filling the space in between.
The pattern is typical of Java's northern lowlands. Settlements stretch out along roads, small rivers and irrigation channels cross the plain, and busy intercity roads link the town to Cirebon and the wider region. At poster scale the effect is a fine, detailed mesh of lines rather than a single dense centre.
