Arcaded old centre
The historic core is built on a regular grid of narrow parallel streets, many lined with stone arcades. On the map it reads as a fine, orderly comb of blocks.

The map
Chiavari Map Poster & Print
Chiavari faces the Gulf of Tigullio on the Riviera di Levante. It spreads across a small coastal plain at the mouth of the Entella river. Most towns on this steep coast have little flat ground, but Chiavari has room to spread out. Its historic centre follows an unusually orderly pattern of parallel streets running toward the sea.
Many of its best-known streets are lined with long stone arcades, the portici that shade shops along the old main thoroughfare. The town also gave its name to the light Chiavari chair, made here since the early nineteenth century and still common in dining rooms and event halls. Behind the plain, wooded hills rise quickly toward the Apennines.
A Chiavari map poster shows the tidy grid of the centre, the marina's breakwaters reaching into the gulf and the Entella separating the town from neighbouring Lavagna. The coastline curves gently to either side. In the hills behind, a dense web of winding roads softens the geometry of the plain and frames the composition from inland.

Mouth of the Entella
The river reaches the sea at the edge of town and forms a clear boundary with Lavagna. It adds a wide band of water to the composition.
Marina and seafront
The harbour's breakwaters and pontoons extend into the Gulf of Tigullio. Beside the beaches, a straight promenade traces the shore.

Why Chiavari
A map that means something
Many people link Chiavari with summers on the Riviera, family visits or a first home by the sea. The map captures its calm, well-ordered character, the grid and the arcades, without relying on postcard imagery.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a date spent on the gulf, and choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand pairs naturally with a Ligurian coastline, while Classic keeps the street pattern crisp.
