Its best-known landmark is Gisborough Priory, an Augustinian foundation whose tall, ruined east end still stands beside the town centre. Beyond the town, Guisborough Forest and the moorland edge offer walking routes, and Roseberry Topping, with its distinctive profile, is not far to the south-west.
