The map
Kamiichi Map Poster & Print
Kamiichi lies east of Toyama City, where the plain begins to rise toward the Tateyama range of the Northern Japan Alps. From above, the town sits on a gently sloping alluvial fan, with a compact centre, a network of straight rural roads and a patchwork of rice fields stretching between scattered hamlets.
The Kamiichi River runs down from the mountains through the town, and its course shapes the land around it. The area is also known for Nissekiji, a temple associated with a carved image of Fudō Myōō, set in wooded hills where waterfalls and streams descend toward the plain.
A Kamiichi map poster shows a landscape of calm order: straight field roads, small settlements and a river cutting across the fan. Toward the east, the lines thin out as the ground becomes steep and forested. It is a quiet, balanced composition that reflects the rural side of Toyama.

Kamiichi River
The river flows from the Tateyama foothills through the town toward the plain, forming the strongest natural line across the map.
Field grid
Rice paddies and straight farm roads create a fine rectangular pattern between hamlets, especially clear in a black-and-white rendering.
