The map
Kurihashi Map Poster & Print
Kurihashi lies in the northeast of Saitama Prefecture on the flat Kantō Plain, close to where the prefecture meets Ibaraki. It was once an independent town and is now part of the city of Kuki. On a map the area is shaped by water. The wide channel of the Tone River and its levees run nearby, framing the settlement to the east.
Kurihashi grew as a post town on the Nikkō Kaidō, the historic road north from Edo, and the line of that old route can still be traced through the streets. Today the railway is just as important. Kurihashi Station is where lines towards Tokyo and Nikkō meet, and the tracks cut clear diagonals across the plain.
A Kurihashi map poster brings together the fine grain of Japanese residential streets, the straight lines of rail and highway, and the broad, empty band of the river. It is a quiet composition with a strong sense of place, and it suits anyone connected to this corner of Saitama.

Why Kurihashi
A map that means something
A map of Kurihashi appeals to people who grew up there, commuted from its station, or know it through family in Kuki. The river and rail lines give it a structure that reads well from across a room.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a move-in date or a family name, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
