Central grid
Straight streets cross at right angles through the centre and form the regular blocks typical of planned towns in western Paraná. The pattern gives the map an ordered core.

The map
Medianeira Map Poster & Print
Medianeira is a city in the far west of Paraná. The region was settled from the mid-twentieth century, largely by families arriving from southern Brazil. Surrounded by soy, maize and livestock farms, the city has grown into a service and industrial centre for the area, and agricultural cooperatives play an important part in its economy.
Its map reflects that planned origin. The centre is built on a regular grid of straight streets and rectangular blocks that extends outward into newer residential areas. The BR-277 highway passes the city on its way west to Foz do Iguaçu and the Iguaçu Falls. Beyond the city, small streams and patches of woodland break up the farmland.
A Medianeira map poster shows a city of clear lines, where the grid meets the curves of the creeks and the geometry of the surrounding fields. The composition is simple and balanced. At larger sizes, individual blocks and roads come through sharply, giving the print a calm, architectural quality.

BR-277 highway
The main road linking the Paraná interior with Foz do Iguaçu runs past the city. It is a long line that anchors the map and ties Medianeira to the border region.
Farmland edges
Beyond the urban area, the grid gives way to fields, rural roads and wooded stream valleys. This is the landscape that sustains the city's economy.

Why Medianeira
A map that means something
For families who helped build Medianeira, and for those who have moved away to study or work, a map of the city is a direct connection to where they started. Many travellers also know it as a stop on the way to Iguaçu.
Add your own title and subtitle, perhaps a family surname or the year you arrived, and point the coordinates line to a home or a farm. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A free 900 px preview lets you check the design before you buy.
