The map
Níjar Map Poster & Print
Níjar is a municipality in the province of Almería, in south-eastern Spain. Its old town sits on the lower slopes of the Sierra Alhamilla, with narrow streets and whitewashed houses rising towards the hills. Below lies the Campo de Níjar, a broad plain covered by greenhouses that appear on the map as a dense pattern of rectangles.
The municipality is one of the largest in Spain and extends to the sea, taking in much of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park. This protected area of volcanic hills, cliffs and quiet coves includes villages such as San José and Las Negras. The old town is also known for its pottery and woven jarapa rugs.
A Níjar map poster can show two very different landscapes: the tight hillside streets of the village and the open, dry coast of Cabo de Gata. The contrast between the geometric greenhouse zones, empty volcanic land and the curving shoreline makes the map rich and varied, even in black and white.

Greenhouse plain
The Campo de Níjar is covered by greenhouses, creating a regular pattern of rectangles and access roads that looks almost like a woven grid from above.
Cabo de Gata coast
The municipality reaches the sea in the natural park, where volcanic hills, cliffs and coves form an irregular coastline with few roads.

Why Níjar
A map that means something
Níjar attracts people who love dry landscapes, quiet coves and whitewashed villages. A map of the old town or the Cabo de Gata coast keeps memories of summers, walks and long drives along the empty shoreline.
Personalise the title and subtitle, add a date to the coordinates line, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand reflects the dry colours of the region. Printed posters ship from partners in 30+ countries.
