The map
Redmond Map Poster & Print
Redmond sits on the high desert plateau of central Oregon, east of the Cascade Range and north of Bend. From above, the city is laid out on a broad, mostly regular grid, with residential blocks spreading across flat volcanic ground and larger parcels at the edges giving way to farmland, juniper and sagebrush.
The most distinctive feature is the Dry Canyon, a narrow basalt canyon that runs north to south through the city and has been kept as a long linear park with trails. Redmond is also home to Roberts Field, the main commercial airport for central Oregon, and Smith Rock State Park, with its well-known climbing walls, lies a short drive to the north.
A Redmond map poster turns these pieces into a clear composition: the straight streets of the grid, the canyon cutting through them like a seam, the highway corridor of US 97 and the runways of the airport on the southeast side. Printed in black and white, the high desert city looks orderly and spacious.

Roberts Field runways
The airport that serves central Oregon lies on the southeast edge of the city, its crossing runways forming a bold geometric shape beside the residential blocks.
High desert grid
Most neighbourhoods follow a regular grid across level ground, with wide blocks and straight roads that extend into the open country around town.
