Europa-Rosarium
The rose garden's network of paths and beds appears as a finely drawn area of curves. It stands apart from the town's regular streets.

The map
Sangerhausen Map Poster & Print
Sangerhausen lies in Saxony-Anhalt at the southern edge of the Harz mountains, where the hills fall away into the Goldene Aue lowland. On a map the town's medieval core is a compact knot of streets. Wider districts and roads extend outward from it.
For centuries the area was shaped by copper-shale mining, and the spoil heap of the former Thomas Müntzer shaft, the Hohe Linde, is a well-known landmark. Sangerhausen is also home to the Europa-Rosarium, often described as the largest collection of roses in the world.
A Sangerhausen map poster brings these features together. It shows the irregular old centre, the rosarium's garden paths, the traces of mining around the town, and the transition from the wooded Harz foothills to open farmland.

Old town core

Mining landscape
The large spoil heaps and former mining sites around town leave distinct marks on the map. They are a reminder of the region's industrial past.
