The map
Selb Map Poster & Print
Selb lies in Upper Franconia, in the far northeast of Bavaria, a few kilometres from the Czech border. From above, the town fills a gentle valley. Its older streets gather around the centre, and later residential districts spread up the surrounding slopes. Forest presses in on almost every side, so the built-up area has a clear, irregular outline.
Selb is best known for porcelain. Rosenthal and Hutschenreuther are tied to the town, and the Porzellanikon museum documents that industrial heritage. On the map, the factory era shows up as larger blocks and rail-side sites set among the finer residential grain. The Fichtelgebirge uplands frame the whole picture with wooded hills and scattered villages.
A Selb map poster suits a town whose name is already linked to design. The clean black lines echo the precision of the porcelain made here, and the white space around them stands in for the forests on the border. It is a fitting piece for collectors, former residents, or anyone who has crossed this quiet corner of Bavaria.

Border setting
The Czech border runs only a short distance east of town. Roads leading toward it give the map a sense of direction and edge in this far corner of Bavaria.
Fichtelgebirge slopes
Wooded uplands surround Selb. Residential streets climb the gentle slopes, and the forest outside town appears as open white space against the denser urban centre.

Why Selb
A map that means something
Selb speaks to people who care about craft and design, and to those with roots in Upper Franconia. A minimalist plan of the town sits naturally beside a porcelain collection or on a studio wall, and it makes a thoughtful gift for someone who worked in the industry here.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be personalised, and there are five styles to choose from: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters on matte paper ship from partners in more than 30 countries, with an optional wooden frame.
