Old centre lanes
Near the heart of the town the streets are shorter and less regular, forming a dense knot of lines that stands out against the more orderly neighbourhoods built later.

Aïn Attig lies a short distance inland from the Atlantic, on the southern edge of the urban area that stretches from Rabat through Témara. From above it reads as a town still taking shape: compact older lanes near the centre, newer rectangular housing blocks around them, and farm plots and open ground filling the gaps between built-up patches.
The street pattern changes as you move outward. Tighter, irregular lanes give way to broader planned streets and repeated block layouts typical of recent Moroccan residential development, while the roads connecting the town to Témara and the coast pull the plan toward the north and west.
Much of the town's growth has come from its position within commuting distance of the capital. An Aïn Attig map poster shows that moment of expansion in clean black lines: a place defined less by monuments than by the steady spread of streets across the coastal plain.
Near the heart of the town the streets are shorter and less regular, forming a dense knot of lines that stands out against the more orderly neighbourhoods built later.
Around the core, recent developments are laid out in repeated rectangles and straight avenues, giving the map a tidy, modular texture on its outer edges.
Farmland and open ground surround the built-up area, leaving large quiet spaces on the poster that emphasise how the town sits between the capital region and the countryside.
