Ko e mape
Chālūs lies on the southern coast of the Caspian Sea in Māzandarān Province, northern Iran. From above, it occupies a narrow coastal strip between the shoreline and the steep, wooded Alborz mountains. The Chālūs River flows down from the mountains and through the town to the sea, and the coastal highway runs east to west along the plain.
The town is known across Iran as the northern end of the Chālūs Road, the celebrated mountain route that climbs through river gorges and forest across the Alborz toward Tehran. For many travellers from the capital, the descent toward Chālūs marks their arrival at the Caspian, and the town has long drawn summer visitors.
A Chālūs map poster shows a town caught between sea and mountains. The long, gently curving shoreline forms one edge, the river cuts through the centre, and the roads run parallel to the coast before one of them turns inland up the valley. It is a clean, linear composition with a strong sense of place.
The river flows from the mountains to the sea straight through the town, a clear line of water crossed by bridges that divides the map into two parts.
The coast runs in a long, gentle curve along the northern edge, giving the design a calm horizon and wide open space where the sea begins.
The famous road toward Tehran leaves the town southward up the river valley, a single winding line that leads out of the frame and into the Alborz.

Ko e ha Chālūs
For many Iranian families, Chālūs means summers by the Caspian, and a map of it recalls long drives north and time spent by the sea. It makes a warm gift for anyone who grew up here or returns each year.
