Ciudad Bolivia is a town in Barinas state, Venezuela, serving as the seat of Pedraza municipality. It lies in the transition zone between the Andean foothills and the wide plains of the llanos, an area of cattle ranches, farmland and rivers flowing down from the mountains toward the Apure basin.
On the map, the town has a regular layout, with straight streets and blocks arranged around its central square, in the tradition of Venezuelan towns. Roads run out from the centre into the surrounding countryside, where farms and patches of woodland alternate with the curving lines of watercourses.
