Collegno lies just west of Turin in Piedmont, along the Dora Riparia river on the route toward the Susa Valley and the Alps. Once a separate farming village, it is now closely joined to the city. The western end of Turin's metro line 1 is in Collegno, making it one of the best-connected places in the metropolitan area.
