Ko e mape
Dhanbad is often called the coal capital of India. The map shows why. The city is not a single dense core. It is a scattered network of towns, colliery settlements and rail sidings across the Jharia coalfield, linked by roads that follow the old mining lease boundaries rather than a planned grid.
Railways are central to a Dhanbad map poster. The city is a major junction on the line between Kolkata and northern India, and branch lines reach out to the mines in several directions. The Grand Trunk Road passes nearby. To the south the Damodar River marks the edge of the coalfield, and reservoirs such as Maithon lie within reach to the north-east.
The Jharia field is known for underground coal fires that have burned for more than a century and have forced settlements to relocate. On a street map that history shows up as gaps and irregular edges. The city is also home to IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, founded as a school of mines in 1926, whose campus appears as a calmer, greener block in the plan.
Main lines and colliery branches meet at Dhanbad. The resulting web of tracks dominates the map and ties the scattered mining towns to the city.
South of the centre, mining settlements, open pits and access roads form a loose, fragmented pattern that has little in common with an ordinary city grid.
IIT (ISM) Dhanbad occupies a defined campus with its own internal roads. It began as the Indian School of Mines and remains the city's academic anchor.

Ko e ha Dhanbad
Dhanbad has deep ties for mining families, railway workers and generations of engineers who studied at ISM. A map of the city is a practical way to remember years spent there, whether on campus or in the coalfield towns.
Give the poster a title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps a graduation year, and choose one of five styles, including Blueprint for a technical look. Download files instantly or order a matte print, framed if you like.
