Ko e mape
Dubrājpur lies in Birbhum district in the west of West Bengal, where the plains rise gently toward the Chota Nagpur Plateau. The land is marked by red laterite soil and scattered low hills. On the map the town appears as a dense, irregular network of lanes surrounded by fields, ponds and small villages connected by country roads.
The town is best known for Mama-Bhagne Pahar, a group of large granite boulders balanced on one another just outside the town. The rocks have long drawn visitors and are tied to local legend. Dubrājpur also serves as a market and administrative centre for the rural area around it, linking many villages with the wider district.
A Dubrājpur map poster shows a town with a strong local texture: narrow lanes, a scattering of tanks and ponds, and roads leading outward across the farmland. In black and white the water bodies appear as small bright shapes among the streets, which gives the design a distinctive, dotted rhythm that is easy to recognise.
The balanced granite boulders on the edge of town form a small rocky outcrop in an otherwise gentle landscape, a notable landmark for anyone familiar with Dubrājpur.
Many ponds are scattered through and around the town. On the map they appear as small shapes that interrupt the street network and add character to the composition.
Country roads run out across the red-soiled plain to villages and neighbouring towns, forming long lines that frame the dense centre of the town.
