Ecunna, also written Ekunha, is a municipality in Huambo province, on the high central plateau of Angola. The surrounding land is broad and gently rolling, at a considerable elevation, and from above the landscape looks open, with settlements, fields and patches of woodland spread across it.
The town itself is modest in size. Its centre is a compact group of streets around the main roads, and beyond it the pattern loosens into scattered homesteads and farm plots linked by tracks. Small streams cross the plateau, and roads tend to follow the easier ground between them, giving the map a relaxed, organic structure.
