Ko e mape
Erzin lies in the north of Hatay Province in southern Turkey. Here the Nur Mountains, also called the Amanos range, come down to a narrow coastal plain along the Gulf of İskenderun. The town sits on the lower slopes and the flat land below them. Its streets spread from the hills toward orchards and fields that run down to the sea.
Erzin became widely known after the February 2023 earthquakes, which caused enormous destruction across Hatay. The town reported no deaths and very few collapsed buildings, and its mayor credited strict enforcement against illegal construction. The surrounding plain is also often associated with the Battle of Issus, where Alexander the Great defeated Darius III in 333 BC.
An Erzin map poster brings mountain, plain and coast together in one frame: the town's streets, the slopes rising behind it, and the lines of roads and citrus groves reaching toward the gulf. It is a compact, well-balanced composition with a clear sense of direction, running from the hills to the water.
The slopes of the Nur Mountains rise directly behind the town. There the street pattern thins out and gives way to open hillside.
Between Erzin and the Gulf of İskenderun lies flat farmland crossed by roads and field boundaries, a calm, open band across the poster.
The central streets form a compact, fairly regular network, dense enough to read clearly and small enough to fit whole on the map.
