Ko e mape
Frederikssund sits on the eastern shore of Roskilde Fjord in North Zealand, at a point where the fjord narrows into a sound. From above, the town is shaped by that water: the centre gathers along the shore, streets climb gently inland, and bridges reach across to the Hornsherred peninsula on the western side of the fjord.
For decades the Crown Prince Frederik Bridge was the main crossing here; a second, larger bridge named after Crown Princess Mary opened in 2019 south of the town. Frederikssund is also known for its Viking Games, an open-air summer performance staged by the fjord, and for the J.F. Willumsen Museum dedicated to the Danish painter.
A Frederikssund map poster has a natural centrepiece in the fjord itself, a long band of water running through the frame. The town's streets, the harbour, the two crossings and the surrounding fields arrange themselves around it. The composition is clean and balanced, and it suits people who know the fjord from sailing, commuting or summer evenings on the water.
The fjord narrows at Frederikssund, forming a clear strait that divides the map and gives the town its sense of place between two shores.
The older bridge by the town centre and the newer crossing to the south draw two lines across the water, linking Frederikssund with Hornsherred.
The harbour and waterfront streets trace the eastern edge of the fjord, with small inlets and green shoreline extending north and south of the centre.

Ko e ha Frederikssund
Frederikssund is a place for people who like to live near water without living in a city. A map of it captures the fjord, the bridges and the calm order of a Danish town, and makes a fitting gift for a new home.
