Ko e mape
Golden Gate is a census-designated community in Collier County, just east of Naples on Florida's southwest coast. It began as a planned development in the 1960s, and the map still shows the planner's hand. A compact core of curving streets is cut through by drainage canals, with Golden Gate Parkway running east–west as its main spine and residential loops arranged along it.
Canals are the most distinctive element. Long, straight waterways run between blocks and beside the main roads. They were dug to drain low, flat land and carry water toward the Gulf. Interstate 75 passes close by, and further east the much larger Golden Gate Estates extends the same rectilinear logic across miles of wooded lots and evenly spaced roads.
The project was launched by the Gulf American Corporation, whose aggressive land sales became a well-known chapter in Florida's development history. The area has since grown into a residential community for people working across the Naples region. A Golden Gate map poster shows a landscape made almost entirely by design: canals, parkways and a street plan that reads like a technical drawing.
Straight canals cross the community and follow its main roads. They draw long parallel lines of water that give the map an orderly, engineered rhythm.
The parkway runs east from Naples through the centre of the community. This strong horizontal axis is where residential streets branch off and curve away.
Beyond the core, Golden Gate Estates continues as a vast grid of long roads and large lots, fading into wetland and forest toward the interior.

Ko e ha Golden Gate
Golden Gate is home to many people who work in Naples and around Collier County, and its engineered layout makes a surprisingly graphic poster. Canals and parkways give it a clear structure, the kind of map that looks deliberate on a wall.
