Holstebro is a town in western Jutland, built where the Storå river crosses flat, open Danish country. The river is the most distinctive line on the map. It bends through the town, and parks and paths line its banks, so a soft green corridor separates the older centre from the districts around it.
The historic core is small and walkable, with a pedestrian shopping street at its heart. Beyond it, residential neighbourhoods spread out in rounded, low-density curves, the way many Danish towns grew in the twentieth century. Ring and approach roads frame the whole thing neatly, so the town sits clearly in the middle of the print.
Holstebro has an unusual cultural reputation for its size. In the 1960s it bought Alberto Giacometti's sculpture known locally as Maren, and it became home to Eugenio Barba's Odin Teatret. A Holstebro map poster suits people who know the town through those institutions, or simply through everyday life by the river.
The river curves through town in a smooth, continuous line with green banks on both sides. It gives the poster a natural focal point and divides the street pattern into distinct halves.
A compact old core with a pedestrian shopping street appears as a tight knot of short streets, set against the looser residential rings around it.
The town is known for Giacometti's Maren, bought in 1966, and for Odin Teatret. Both are part of Holstebro's identity even though a street map does not show them.

Ko e ha Holstebro
Holstebro's river and tidy street pattern give it a balanced, calm composition that suits Scandinavian interiors well. It works as a gift for someone who has moved away from West Jutland or has just moved there.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a year or a family name, and keep the coordinates line or edit it. Paper and Sand warm the design, while Classic black & white keeps it crisp. Printing is available in 30+ countries.
