Jand is a town in Attock district in the north of Pakistan’s Punjab, on the Potohar plateau. This is uneven country, cut by seasonal streams and eroded gullies, with rain-fed fields between the ridges. On the map, the town appears as a compact cluster where roads and the railway meet, set in a landscape broken up by natural channels.
A railway line runs through the town, and much of its layout grew around the station and market.
