Jiangnan is a locality within Chongqing municipality in south-western China. The name means south of the river, a common place name in a region shaped by the Yangtze and its tributaries. Like much of Chongqing, the terrain here is hilly. Roads wind with the contours instead of running straight, and buildings cluster where the ground allows.
