Ko e mape
Kalulushi is a town in Zambia's Copperbelt Province, a short distance west of Kitwe. Its map reflects its origins as a mining settlement, with residential districts laid out in planned blocks and larger areas given over to mining and processing. Roads link the town to Kitwe and to nearby mining areas, forming the main lines of the composition.
Like many towns in the Copperbelt, Kalulushi grew up around copper mining, and the industry still shapes both the economy and the landscape. On a map, the mine sites and associated land show as large, open shapes that contrast with the finer pattern of streets in the residential areas.
A Kalulushi map poster captures a place whose layout was defined by work. The planned neighbourhoods, with their repeated patterns of streets and houses, sit alongside open land and industrial zones. In black and white, these different textures create a varied composition that tells the story of the Copperbelt without needing words.
Residential districts follow repeated, orderly patterns typical of Copperbelt mining towns, with streets laid out in neat blocks and curves.
Large open areas linked to the mining industry appear as broad, simple shapes on the map, in contrast with the finer detail of residential streets.
The main road east connects Kalulushi to Kitwe, one of Zambia's largest cities, and forms a strong line leading out of the frame.

Ko e ha Kalulushi
Kalulushi is where many Copperbelt families have lived and worked for generations. A map of the town can hold a family name in the title and a date in the subtitle, making it a fitting gift for someone who grew up there or has moved away.
The planned streets look clean in Classic black and white and Blueprint. Sand and Paper offer a warmer tone, while Noir gives a bold contrast. The coordinates line can be changed to point to a particular house, school or mine township.
