Kasongo-Lunda is a town in Kwango province, in south-western Democratic Republic of the Congo, not far from the border with Angola. It is the centre of a large, sparsely populated territory of the same name. The landscape around it is a mix of open plateau savanna and valleys lined with forest along the rivers that drain toward the Kwango.
