Ko e mape
Khao Saming is a district in Trat, the easternmost province on Thailand's Gulf coast, close to the Cambodian border. Its main town is small and low-rise, and on the map it appears as a modest cluster of streets set within a much larger landscape of farmland, orchards and waterways that drain towards the coast to the south.
The town follows a main road, with shorter lanes branching off and houses spreading along routes into the countryside rather than filling a compact grid. Beyond it, the land is divided into irregular plantation plots, with streams and rivers winding through. Low hills rise inland, and the density of tree cover gives the surrounding area a soft, uneven texture.
Trat province is known for its fruit orchards, including durian, rambutan and mangosteen, and for the islands of the Ko Chang archipelago offshore. A Khao Saming map poster focuses on the inland side of that story: a quiet district town where roads and waterways, rather than landmarks, give the place its shape.
The town is strung along its main road, which runs through the print as a clear line, with smaller lanes branching off towards homes and farms.
Streams and rivers meander across the district towards the coast, their curves contrasting with the straighter roads and giving the map a sense of movement.
Around the town, the land is broken into irregular plots of fruit orchards and plantations, a fine mosaic that fills the edges of the composition.
