Mālūr lies on the dry, gently rolling plateau east of Bengaluru, in Kolar district. The town is compact. Its older lanes cluster close together, and newer streets stretch out along the main roads. A railway line passes through the town, and on the map it cuts a long, steady diagonal that ties Mālūr into the wider network of southern Karnataka.
The countryside around the town is a mix of farmland and small settlements. Irrigation tanks are common across this part of the state, and they show up as irregular pale shapes among the fields. Mālūr is known locally for its brick and tile making. Its industrial areas sit along the approach roads, where the street pattern becomes looser and more spread out.
A Mālūr map poster captures a working town at the scale where you can still follow each road out into the countryside. Printed in black and white, the rail line gives the layout a clear spine. The denser centre stands out against the open land around it, and the whole sheet has a calm, understated look.
The rail line crosses the town in one long stroke and anchors the layout. The station area and the streets that grow toward it are easy to pick out on the map.
Water tanks and seasonal reservoirs, a familiar feature of the Kolar plateau, appear as irregular open shapes between the roads and fields around town.
Several roads fan out from the centre toward nearby villages and industrial areas. They give the edges of the map a loose, radiating structure.

Ko e ha Mālūr
For people from Mālūr, or families who have moved on to Bengaluru and beyond, a map of the hometown is a quiet reminder of familiar lanes, the station and the roads leading home. It is a personal image rather than a tourist one.
You can personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, for example with a family name or a meaningful year. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room where the poster will hang.
