Ko e mape
Manapla is a municipality in Negros Occidental, on the northern coast of Negros Island in the Western Visayas. The town sits on a broad coastal plain that rises slowly inland toward the volcanic highlands of the island's interior. As in much of northern Negros, sugarcane dominates the land around it, and the map is shaped by fields, roads and the shoreline.
The town centre is a compact grid of streets near the coast. The coastal highway passes close by and links Manapla with neighbouring towns, while smaller roads run inland to barangays scattered among the plantations. Creeks and rivers cross the plain on their way to the sea and add a few soft, winding lines to an otherwise level landscape.
A Manapla map poster shows all this in clear lines: a small town grid, the curve of the coast and the wide, open cane fields around it. It is a fitting keepsake for Negrenses abroad, and for families whose histories are tied to the haciendas of the north and the rhythm of the milling season.
The poblacion forms a small, regular grid close to the coast. It is the densest part of the map and the natural focus of the composition.
Sugarcane plantations cover much of the land. In rural Manapla, the Chapel of the Cartwheels, built using old cart wheels, reflects this farming heritage.
The coast of Negros forms a long boundary on the map, marked by creeks and river mouths, with open water beyond.

Ko e ha Manapla
Many people from Negros live far from the island, and a clean map of their home town can mean more than a photograph. The poster works just as well in a family home in Manapla as in an apartment overseas.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be changed to include a family name or an important date. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Get the $9 HD files or a printed poster shipped from a print partner.
