Morrinhos lies in the south of Goiás in central Brazil, in the cerrado region that has become one of the country's major farming areas. Its name means little hills, a fair description of the gently rolling land around it. From above, the town is a neat grid of blocks, broken by a few squares and green spaces, with large rectangular fields and pastures spreading out past its edges.
Its economy is closely tied to agriculture and livestock, and the town serves as a commercial centre for the surrounding farmland. A main highway connects it to Goiânia and the rest of the region, and the scale of the farms is visible on the map in the broad, geometric plots that surround the relatively small urban area.
A Morrinhos map poster sets the regular street grid of the town against the wider pattern of fields and the soft lines of watercourses between the hills. It is a clean, balanced composition. It suits people from the town or anywhere in the Goiás interior who want a quiet image of a familiar landscape.
The town is laid out in straight, evenly spaced blocks, forming an orderly rectangle of streets that contrasts with the landscape around it.
Beyond the edge of town, broad geometric fields and pastures cover the cerrado, filling the outer frame with a larger-scale pattern.
The gentle rises that gave the town its name shape the watercourses and roads around it, softening the lines at the edges of the poster.

Ko e ha Morrinhos
For families from Morrinhos or the farms around it, a map of the town captures a very particular sense of place: the grid, the squares, the fields stretching out. It is a calm print that fits a family home, a farmhouse office or a flat in the city.
