Pagadian faces the waters of Illana Bay on the southern side of the Zamboanga Peninsula in Mindanao, and its layout is shaped by the slope behind it. The city rises from a narrow coastal strip into hills, so many streets climb directly away from the water while others follow the contours, producing a street map with a clear up-and-down logic.
It is the capital of Zamboanga del Sur and the regional centre of the Zamboanga Peninsula, which gives it government offices, schools and a port at its lower edge. The slopes are steep enough that the city became known for its tricycles, built with the passenger cab tilted so that riders stay level on the inclines.
Beyond the town proper, barangays spread along the coast and into farmland and wooded hills, so the urban area thins gradually rather than ending at a clear line. A Pagadian map poster records that transition, from the shoreline and port up through the hillside neighbourhoods to the rural roads that leave the city inland.
The shoreline runs along the city's seaward side, where the port and lower town meet the water and give the poster its firmest edge.
Roads climb steeply from the coast in short, direct lines, a pattern that makes the terrain legible even on a flat map without any contour shading.
Away from the centre, the street network loosens into scattered settlements and winding rural roads, showing how the city blends into the surrounding hills and farmland.

Ko e ha Pagadian
Pagadian is home to many families across the peninsula, and those who move away often remember its hills and the view down to the bay. A map of the city keeps that shape close, whether for a first apartment elsewhere or a gift for parents who stayed.
You can change the title and subtitle and edit the coordinates line to mark a barangay or a date. Pick one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, check the free 900 px preview, then choose the $9 HD files or a printed poster.
