Pájara is the largest municipality on Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, stretching from the island's volcanic interior to the Jandía peninsula in the south. The village of Pájara itself is small and inland, set in a valley among dry hills, with a short grid of streets around its church and a few roads leading outward.
