Ko e mape
Pavlohrad lies in the east of Dnipropetrovsk region, on the Vovcha River near its confluence with the Samara. The river winds past the city in loops lined with floodplain meadows. The central streets form a fairly regular grid on the higher bank. From above, the steppe around it is flat and open, divided into large fields.
The city is the centre of the Western Donbas coal-mining area, and mine sites and industrial zones sit on its edges. The railway runs through the city with sidings and yards. On the Pavlohrad map poster the regular residential blocks, the winding river and the industrial parcels combine into a layered composition that is typical of the region.
Pavlohrad was founded in the late eighteenth century, when this part of the steppe was being settled and organised by the Russian Empire. The old centre still follows a planned layout from that period. Later, Soviet-era housing districts expanded the city in larger, more widely spaced blocks.
The river loops around the city, with meadows and oxbows on its floodplain. It softens the edge of an otherwise orderly street plan.
The historic core follows a regular grid. Its evenly spaced blocks give the centre of the map a calm, ordered look.
Mines, rail yards and factories line the outskirts. Their large, irregular shapes contrast with the fine grain of the residential streets.

Ko e ha Pavlohrad
Many Pavlohrad prints go to people who have left the city and want to keep its streets close, or to families with a history in the mines. The map shows the city as a whole, calmly and without symbolism.
You can set the title and subtitle in your own words and keep or edit the coordinates. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits the city's industrial character.
