Rama Map Poster & Print

El Rama, often simply called Rama, is in Nicaragua's South Caribbean Coast region. It stands where the Siquia and Mico rivers meet to form the Río Escondido, which flows east to Bluefields on the Caribbean. For a long time it was where the road from the Pacific side ended and river boats took over.

On the map water is the dominant feature. The two rivers join at the town and the wider Escondido continues from there. The town's streets are pressed along the banks and up the higher ground nearby. Docks and riverfront streets show how important the water has been for trade and travel.

A Rama map poster shows the confluence clearly, with wide river lines and a small, dense town between them. It's a striking composition that marks the point where overland travel ends and the route to the coast continues by water.
