Ko e mape
Sent sits on a broad, south-facing terrace high above the Inn in the Lower Engadine, in the eastern part of the canton of Graubünden. The village itself is compact, a close-knit group of streets and houses, but its former municipal territory of more than a hundred square kilometres stretches far beyond it, up into side valleys, forests and high pastures.
The village is known for its Engadine houses, thick-walled buildings with deep-set windows and facades often decorated with sgraffito, arranged around small squares and fountains. Since 2015 Sent has been part of the municipality of Scuol, a short distance to the west. Romansh remains the everyday language of the area.
On a map the contrast between village and surroundings is striking. A Sent map poster shows the dense core of lanes on its terrace, the roads that wind up from the valley floor, and the open ground of meadows and forest around it, with the Inn running along the bottom of the valley far below.
The village occupies a raised shelf above the valley, and its compact footprint sits clearly apart from the Inn, which flows far below along the valley floor.
Streets curve between closely set houses and small squares, forming a dense, irregular pattern typical of the traditional villages of the Lower Engadine.
Meadows, forest and mountain tracks spread around the village and into the side valleys, giving the map a wide, open field around the settlement.

Sent is a place people return to for summer hikes, winter snow or family visits. A map of the village keeps that sense of arrival on the wall: the road climbing up from the valley and the familiar lanes at the top.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can be personalised, and you can choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper with an optional wooden frame, or you can download the HD files for $9.
