Sevierville is the county seat of Sevier County, in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. On a map its older core sits near the forks of the Little Pigeon River, where the courthouse streets form a compact centre. From there development stretches out along the main highways, most clearly along the parkway heading south towards Pigeon Forge and the mountains.
