Shaji is a town in Suining County, Xuzhou, in the northern part of Jiangsu Province. The surrounding land is part of the low, flat plain of northern Jiangsu, crossed by rivers, canals and irrigation channels. In recent years Shaji has become known in China for its rural e-commerce, particularly the online sale of furniture made in local workshops.
On a map, the town centre is a compact cluster of streets, with roads leading out in straight lines to surrounding villages.
