Ko e mape
Sóc Sơn is the northernmost part of Hanoi, a largely rural area of low hills, forest and farmland far from the dense city centre. From above, it is dominated by the long parallel runways of Nội Bài International Airport, the main gateway to northern Vietnam. Terminals and access roads form a large geometric shape among the fields.
Around the airport, the landscape is loose and open, with villages strung along roads, rice paddies on the flatter ground and wooded hills rising to the north. Reservoirs and lakes fill several valleys, giving a Sóc Sơn map poster soft, irregular shapes between the lines of roads and expressways heading toward central Hanoi.
The area is also known for Sóc Temple, dedicated to Thánh Gióng, the legendary hero said to have ridden into the sky from these hills. UNESCO recognises the Gióng festival held at Sóc Temple and Phù Đổng as intangible cultural heritage. On paper, Sóc Sơn becomes a map of contrasts: modern runways beside old villages and forested hills.
Parallel runways and taxiways are the most striking feature of the map, a clean geometric form among the fields and villages of the district.
Wooded hills in the district hold the Sóc Temple complex, linked to the legend of Thánh Gióng, where winding paths climb through the forest.
Several lakes and reservoirs sit in the valleys between the hills. Their soft, irregular shapes balance the hard lines of the runways and roads.

Ko e ha Sóc Sơn
Sóc Sơn is a place of arrival and departure for millions of travellers, and home to families whose villages predate the airport by centuries. A map poster connects both stories and makes a thoughtful gift for anyone with ties to Hanoi's northern edge.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a flight date or a family name, and choose one of five styles, including Noir and Blueprint. Buy the HD files for $9, or order a matte printed poster with an optional frame.
