Tamandaré stretches along the southern coast of Pernambuco, a thin town following the shoreline between river estuaries and coconut groves. On a map it reads as a narrow band of streets running parallel to the beach, with the Atlantic on one side and green agricultural land, mostly sugarcane, on the other.
The coast here is protected by lines of coral and sandstone reefs, and the area forms part of the Costa dos Corais marine protected area. At the northern end, Praia dos Carneiros is known for its calm waters and the small chapel of São Benedito right at the shore. An old fort, Forte de Santo Inácio, stands near the town centre.
A Tamandaré map poster highlights the rhythm of a beach town: the long sweep of sand, the reefs just offshore and the river mouths that interrupt the coast. In black and white, the outline becomes an elegant, flowing edge, with the town drawn as a delicate line beside it.
Reef lines run parallel to the beach, creating sheltered pools at low tide and forming a pattern of shapes offshore that is part of a large marine protected area.
At the northern edge, a river meets the sea near Praia dos Carneiros, forming a winding estuary with sandbars and mangrove edges.
The town runs in a thin line along the shore, with streets parallel to the sand and short cross-streets leading down to the water.

Ko e ha Tamandaré
Tamandaré is a place people remember for warm water, reefs and long walks on the sand. A map poster preserves that memory as a clean line of coast, suitable for a living room or a holiday home.
Set your own title and add a date or subtitle, perhaps the year of a trip or a wedding at Carneiros. Choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
