Ko e mape
Thung Khru is a district on Bangkok's Thonburi side, in the south-western part of the capital, not far from where the Chao Phraya widens towards the Gulf. Its map is a mix of old and new. Canals once used for farming and orchards still cross it, and residential estates and long sois now fill much of the land between them.
The area is home to the main Bang Mod campus of King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, whose buildings and grounds form a distinct block in the street pattern. Pracha Uthit Road and Rama II Road are the main traffic arteries nearby, and minor lanes branch off them into dead-end housing clusters.
A Thung Khru map poster captures Bangkok's outer edge. Its streets don't form a grid but a branching system of main roads and short sois, crossed by thin canal lines. The result is a dense, slightly unpredictable texture that residents will know turn by turn.
Short side lanes branch off the main roads and often end in cul-de-sacs, forming a tree-like pattern typical of Bangkok's suburban districts.
Narrow khlongs cross the district, a legacy of its agricultural past. They appear as fine lines that run through or alongside the housing.
The KMUTT Bang Mod campus forms a compact, organised block with its own internal paths, clearly set apart from the surrounding residential streets.

Ko e ha Thung Khru
Thung Khru is a place people live, study and commute through, not one that appears on tourist maps. That makes a poster of it more personal: a map for a graduate, a first home or a family that has lived on the same soi for years.
Change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to name a soi, a class year or a date. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
