Branching lanes
Narrow roads wind between homes and groves, creating a fine, tree-like pattern that fills the whole map without a single dense centre.

Vazhayur Map Poster & Print
Vazhayur lies in the green, hilly country of northern Kerala, not far from the Kozhikode coast. Like many settlements in this part of the state, it has no dense town centre. Instead, a network of winding lanes connects houses, shops and small clusters spread out among trees and paddy land.
On a map, this gives Vazhayur a soft, branching pattern. Roads follow the ridges and the edges of the low valleys, and the larger routes that pass through the area stand out as the few firmer lines among many narrow paths.
The landscape is typical of the Malabar region, with laterite hills, water channels and dense planting around the homes. A Vazhayur map poster captures this spread-out, organic way of living, which looks very different from the gridded towns found elsewhere in India.

Low hills
Roads follow the tops and edges of gentle laterite hills, so the network curves naturally with the land rather than running straight.
Main roads
A few larger routes pass through the area, giving the poster clear lines that tie the scattered settlement to the wider region.
