Aghajari Map Poster & Print
Aghajari lies in the southeast of Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran, at the edge of the Zagros foothills. It grew up around one of the country's major oil fields, discovered in the first half of the twentieth century, and its life has been tied to the petroleum industry ever since. The landscape is arid, with folded ridges rising beyond the town.
The map reflects that history. Some districts follow straight streets and regular blocks, while others grew in a less formal way, and the difference is easy to read in black and white. Roads lead out across rough, open terrain toward the oil installations, and the surrounding land is left as quiet space around the settlement.
An Aghajari map poster is a personal item for families who lived and worked here, including many who later moved to Ahvaz, Tehran or abroad. The oil industry brought people from across Iran to towns like this one, and for them the street plan is a shared memory of work, school and neighbourhood life.
