Head of the bay
Kuwait Bay narrows to its westernmost point beside the city, and its soft shoreline and tidal flats frame one side of the composition.

Al Jahrā’ Map Poster & Print
Al Jahrā’ lies at the far western end of Kuwait Bay, where the water gives way to low desert. It began as an oasis with wells and farms, a green patch on an otherwise dry coast, and it has since grown into the centre of Kuwait's largest governorate. On a map the older core is still there, surrounded by newer residential districts laid out in broad, orderly blocks.
The town is known for the Red Fort, a mud-brick enclosure tied to the Battle of Jahra in 1920, a defining moment in Kuwait's early twentieth-century history. North of town, the Mutla Ridge rises gently above the flat ground, and the main highway toward the north climbs over it on its way out of the city.
An Al Jahrā’ map poster gets its structure from Kuwait's road planning. Wide highways and interchanges draw heavy lines across the page. Between them sit neighbourhood blocks with cul-de-sacs and small internal streets, and the curve of the bay closes the scene to the east. Few maps show so clearly where coast, desert and planned city meet.

Planned residential blocks
Modern districts are organised into large rectangular blocks, each with its own inner network of streets, and they repeat across the map like tiles.
Highway framework
Multi-lane expressways and cloverleaf junctions ring and cross the city, forming the strongest, most graphic lines on the poster.
