Mitidja plain
The flat plain lets streets and estates spread evenly across the frame, with no hills to bend the pattern, giving the whole poster a steady rhythm.

Baraki Map Poster & Print
Baraki lies on the southern edge of the Algiers metropolitan area, where the city gives way to the broad, flat Mitidja plain. From above, it is a patchwork of housing estates, older residential blocks and remaining farmland, tied together by main roads and motorway links. With no hills to interrupt it, the street network spreads in every direction and fills the map with dense, even texture.
Baraki has grown rapidly in recent decades as Algiers expanded inland, and much of today's commune is made up of districts built for a rising population. The El Harrach river passes nearby on its way to the bay of Algiers, and the fertile soils of the Mitidja, long farmed for citrus and vegetables, still show between the neighbourhoods.
A Baraki map poster captures this edge between city and plain. The large residential blocks appear as bold rectangles, the roads as confident lines heading toward the capital, and the remaining fields as calm open spaces. It is a quiet, graphic portrait of a place that is often overlooked by outsiders but deeply familiar to those who live there.

Housing estates
Large residential blocks form bold rectangular shapes that contrast with the finer, more irregular streets of the older neighbourhoods around them.
El Harrach river
The river passes close by on its way north to the bay of Algiers, adding a winding line to an otherwise largely orthogonal urban pattern.
