Rolling terrain
Gentle hills and low ridges surround the district, so the map shows open valleys filled with development and green slopes left between them.

De kaart
Bishan Map Poster & Print
Bishan is a district of Chongqing municipality, lying west of the city centre in rolling country between low ridges. Unlike the steep, river-bound core of Chongqing, the land here is gentler, and the map shows long avenues laid out in broad, straight lines, framing large blocks of new housing, parks and public buildings. Streams wind through the farmland that surrounds the built-up area.
Over recent decades Bishan has grown from a county town into a modern suburban district, connected to central Chongqing by expressways and rail. The older centre remains visible on the map as a denser cluster of smaller streets, while newer development spreads outward in a more regular, planned pattern across the former fields.
A Bishan map poster captures that meeting of old and new, and the soft hills that give the district its shape. It is a natural choice for long-time residents and for those who have moved here in recent years, or as one part of a series on Chongqing's many districts and satellite towns.

Planned avenues
New districts are laid out along wide, straight roads with large blocks between them, a much more regular pattern than central Chongqing's winding streets.
Older centre
The original town core appears as a denser knot of small streets, easy to pick out on the map within the larger, more open new districts.
